Participatory irrigation Management (PIM) and establishment of Water Users Associations (WUAs) are key approaches for improving the productivity and sustainability of irrigation and empower farmers. Around 85,000 WUAs covering an area of 14.5 million hectares have been formed in India.

The goal of this Website is to provide an open platform to share information about PIM in India and promote performance benchmarking among WUAs, to help them achieve their potential.
